What is Contingency Planning? <Video>
Contingency Planning is the process of developing advance arrangements and procedures to enable an organization to respond to a disaster so that support of the critical business functions resumes within a defined time frame, the amount of loss is minimized, and the stricken facilities are repaired or replaced as soon as possible. Why Join CPAC?
CPAC provides a forum for the exchange of ideas, topics and information in the field of Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery, Risk, and Emergency Management. This information sharing involves local, state and federal government, the business community and individuals. directly enhances effective and efficient communication between government agencies (Incident Command Center or Emergency Management Office) and private business during disaster recovery. The location of each meeting will be provided on the SC-Columbia and NC-Charlotte chapter pages and by email notices. Organizations and individuals may join CPAC by completing an application and paying nominal annual dues. Please visit the "Join CPAC" area of this website for further information about becoming a member.
NC-Charlotte - Charlotte, NC Chapter meets Quarterly from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on the second Wednesday in the months of February, May, August, and November.
SC-Columbia - Columbia, SC Chapter meets quarterly, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on the second Wednesday in the months of January, April, July, and October.
Join the CPAC "opt-on/off" List Server and be notified of CPAC meetings, events, and information by sending an email to email@example.com from the email address to be added to the server, with the subject line Join CPAC List Server. No message body is required. The server will send a confirmation email back, to which the sender must reply to confirm the email address. The address will then be active on the CPAC List Server.
