The Contingency Planning Association of the Carolinas (CPAC) is a professional peer group, which shares information, education and resources in contingency planning in North and South Carolina. CPAC supports proactive preparation for the resumption of business in the event of a unplanned interruption that adversely affects the operation of the organization is a direct benefit of CPAC meetings and activities. What is Contingency Planning?

Contingency Planning is the process of developing advance arrangements and procedures to enable an organization to respond to a disaster so that support of the critical business functions resumes within a defined time frame, the amount of loss is minimized, and the stricken facilities are repaired or replaced as soon as possible. Why Join CPAC?

New CPAC registrations between October 1 and December 31 include the following calendar year.  New members will receive the CPAC members symposium discount code in the confirmation email. CPAC provides a forum for the exchange of ideas, topics and information in the field of Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery, Risk, and Emergency Management. This information sharing involves local, state and federal government, the business community and individuals. directly enhances effective and efficient communication between government agencies (Incident Command Center or Emergency Management Office) and private business during disaster recovery. Chapter Meetings The location of each meeting will be provided on the NC - Triangle, SC-Columbia and NC- Charlotte chapter pages and by email notices. Organizations and individuals may join CPAC by completing an application and paying nominal annual dues. Please visit the "Join CPAC" area of this website for further information about becoming a member.

SC-Columbia -  (MEETING DETAILS) Columbia, SC Chapter meets quarterly, from 1:00PM to 4:00PM on the second Wednesday in the months of January, April, July, and October

NC-Charlotte - (MEETING DETAILS)  Charlotte, NC Chapter meets Quarterly from 1:00PM to 4:00PM on the second Wednesday in the months of February, May, August, and November

NC-Triangle -   (MEETING DETAILS)  Triangle, NC Chapter meets Quarterly from 1:00PM – 4:00PM on the second Wednesday in the months of March, June, September, and December

  • BCI Members ONLY:  BCI Calls for Annual Award Nominations... The Business Continuity Institute (BCI) Announces Their Call For Nominations for the Inaugural BCI Awards – North America.  The BCI will be hosting the first annual BCI Awards - North America exclusively at DRJ Spring World 2012.  Open to all BCM professionals regardless of professional membership and/or certification, the BCI Awards – North America will immediately be recognized as the de-facto standard for business continuity professional recognition of achievement.
