    to Small Businesses

     A number of certified planners are available through CPAC to provide information on BCP and help committed small businesses develop and implement a business continuity plan to protect their employees and business.  Interested small businesses may send and inquiry to probono@cpaccarolinas.org

    CPAC was formed in 1987 for the purpose to promote awareness of contingency planning and disaster recovery. The group consists of members coming from various private and public sectors, such as:

    • Electric and Gas Utilities
    • Universities and Colleges
    • Financial Services
    • Insurance Agencies
    • Federal, State and Local Government
    • Manufacturing
    • Retail
    • Health Care Services
    • Telecommunications
    • Disaster Recovery Services

    Membership Benefits:

    • Provide a forum for the interchange of ideas, topics and information in the field of contingency planning and disaster recovery.
    • Promote awareness of contingency planning and disaster recovery.
    • Identify common problems, propose solutions and share lessons learned.
    • Identify vendor resources which could facilitate effective disaster recovery.

    Membership is open to any individual or organization, public or private, that feels it can contribute to or benefit from the group.

    Charlotte, NC Chapter meets Quarterly from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on the second Wednesday in the months of February, May, August, and November.

    Columbia, SC Chapter meets quarterly, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on the second Tuesday in the months of January, April, July, and October. The location of each meeting will be provided on the SC Meetings Page and by email notices.

    Triad – Triangle, NC Chapter : 2008  Quarterly Meetings are from 1:30 – 4:30 pm: March 19, June 18, September 17, and December 10.

    Organizations and individuals may join CPAC by completing an application and paying nominal annual dues. Please visit the "Join CPAC" area of this website for further information about becoming a member.

    Membership is contingent upon participation and contribution to CPAC.
